What we care about
OctopusSwift is built to give you clarity over your own electricity data. We do not sell your information, run advertising analytics in the App, or build profiles of you for marketing.
Data on your device
To sign you in and keep widgets working, the App stores credentials (such as your Octopus API key and authentication tokens) in the iOS Keychain and related on-device storage. This data stays on your device under Apple's security model. We do not operate our own servers that receive or store your Octopus password or API key.
Octopus Energy
When you use the App, it communicates directly with Octopus Energy's services to fetch the account and usage information you are entitled to see. That processing is subject to Octopus Energy's privacy policy as well as these explanations about how OctopusSwift works.
What we do not collect in the App
We do not integrate third-party analytics or advertising SDKs that track you across apps. We do not knowingly collect personal information on our own infrastructure for profiling or resale.
This website
This site is static HTML and CSS. It does not set first-party cookies for tracking. If the site is hosted by a provider (for example GitHub Pages), that provider may process standard technical logs such as IP addresses under their own policies.
Support email
If you email [email protected], we receive the address and content you send. We use this only to respond and improve the product, and we do not sell it.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App or site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
